Phasmophobia v0.18.0.1 Patches Photo Camera and Multiplayer Drop Bugs
A targeted hotfix addresses a cluster of Photo Camera misbehaviours, cosmetic losses, and ghost-pathfinding exploits introduced by last week's update.
Kinetic Games has deployed Phasmophobia v0.18.0.1, a focused follow-up to last week's update. Author Tom Dent notes the patch responds directly to player feedback.
What changed
Photo Camera fixes
- Animation interference with other players' animations has been resolved.
- The Use animation now plays correctly in multiplayer.
- Dropping the camera mid-shot no longer triggers a phantom extra photo.
- A second player picking up a dropped, in-use camera will no longer trigger an unintended shot.
Other fixes
- Twitch Drop reward ID Card and Badge cosmetics that had gone missing are restored.
- Items getting stuck or falling through floors when dropped in multiplayer has been corrected.
- Videos of a Hunting Ghost now count correctly toward the Apocalypse challenge.
- Ghosts can no longer enter several unintended hiding spots in 13 Willow Street — a fix that also closes similar exploits in 6 Tanglewood Drive, 42 Edgefield Road, and 10 Ridgeview Court.
- Incense no longer fails to display as Used when the Journal is opened mid-animation.
VR-specific fixes
- Unstable FPS in the Truck has been addressed.
- A stuck-on-load bug in Bleasdale Farmhouse multiplayer has been resolved.
Known issue remaining Hotkey assignment order for equipment is currently inconsistent depending on whether a Flashlight is picked up. A subsequent patch will assign equipment in pick-up order; Igniters will always default to slot 4.
For players who encountered cosmetic losses or camera weirdness after the previous update, this patch should restore expected behaviour across both flat and VR play.
