Pih 2 Patch Fixes Controller Vehicles, Tightens Boat Handling
A small post-launch update addresses the two most common complaints from early players.
Developer BecomeANobody has pushed an early bug-fix update to Pih 2 following initial player feedback, targeting two specific problems that surfaced at launch.
What changed
- Controller support for vehicles is fixed. The left thumbstick now correctly handles driving, boat steering, and balloon steering. RB raises the balloon; LB lowers it.
- The boat steers less "slippery". Handling has been tightened for more predictable responses when turning.
Beyond the fixes, the post touches on two open questions the community raised. Fans of Pih 1 have requested an option to restore the old narrator; BecomeANobody says the possibility is still being investigated and that an announcement will follow if it proves feasible. Separately, some players questioned why Insane mode in Pih 2 includes checkpoints — the developer confirms this is intentional but has indicated it could be changed, and is asking players to weigh in via the comments before making any decision.
For players who struggled with vehicle controls at launch, both fixes arrive early enough to matter before habits calcify.
