PUBG Global Series Circuit 3 Moves to Shanghai for Three-Week Run
With PGS Points now doubling and $500,000 on the line, the road to PGC 2026 enters its most consequential stretch.
The PUBG Global Series has left Seoul. Circuit 3 — spanning PGS 7, 8, and 9 — is underway in Shanghai, China, running August 5 through 23, 2026.
This circuit opens the second half of the 2026 PGS season, and the stakes shift accordingly: every series in Circuits 3 and 4 awards twice as many PGS Points as events in the first half, sharpening the competition for PGC 2026 qualification.
What's in play
- 24 teams competing: 12 Global Partner Teams and 12 Regional Qualifiers
- Total prize pool: $500,000 — split as $100,000 for PGS 7, $100,000 for PGS 8, and $300,000 for PGS 9
- Daily match start: 10:00 UTC (exception: PGS 7 Group Stage began at 05:00 UTC on August 5)
- PGS 8 Survival Stage is now live as of August 14, with the Final Stage scheduled for August 15–16
The format follows a progressive elimination structure. In PGS 7, all 24 teams entered a Group Stage; top finishers advanced to the Winners Stage, lower finishers to the Survival Stage. Teams finishing bottom eight in the Survival Stage are eliminated. The Final Stage runs 10 matches across two days.
PGS 9 compresses further: teams enter directly at the Survival Stage on August 20, leading into a Grand Finals on August 21–23.
For teams chasing PGC 2026 berths, the doubled point value means the next two weeks in Shanghai carry more weight than anything that came before.
