PUBG Global Series Circuit 3 Opens in Shanghai with $500,000 on the Line

After two circuits in Seoul, the PUBG Global Series has relocated to Shanghai, China for Circuit 3 — a three-week stretch running August 5 to 23 that encompasses PGS 7, PGS 8, and PGS 9.

The move carries competitive weight beyond geography. Starting with Circuit 3, every series in the second half of the season awards twice as many PGS Points as the first half, accelerating the race toward PGC 2026.

• 24 teams competing: 12 Global Partner Teams and 12 Regional Qualifiers
• Total prize pool: $500,000 — split across PGS 7 ($100,000), PGS 8 ($100,000), and PGS 9 ($300,000)
• PGS 9's Grand Finals carry the largest single-event purse of the three

How the format works

Circuit 3 uses a progressive stage system where performance in one series shapes entry conditions for the next. Within PGS 7, teams filter through a Group Stage, Winners Stage, and Survival Stage before reaching the Final Stage. Elimination is possible from the Survival Stage, where the bottom eight teams in each round are cut.

Day 1 of the PGS 7 Final Stage is live now, with matches starting at 10:00 UTC daily for most stages.

For competitive PUBG followers, the doubled point multiplier means the standings can shift dramatically before PGC 2026 qualification is settled.
