A community announcement published July 6th by Jagex's Azanna lays out RuneScape's near-term content calendar, framed as a special extended edition of the studio's regular monthly preview.

What's coming

  • Player Owned Housing — described as a "major expansion" bringing new customisation, "long-awaited utilities," and the ability to build shared spaces with other players. No release date is given.
  • Leagues II: Equilibrium — launching August 10th, introducing Combat Blessings, enhanced Relics, Free-to-Play access, and a new region unlocking system. Further reveals are said to be coming throughout July.
  • Havenhythe Part 2 — a story continuation including an area expansion and quest, scheduled for September ahead of Runefest. An end-game boss tied to this content is described as planned for release "not long after."
  • API & Plugin Support — the RuneScape API Project is described as running "at full development pace" with community developers involved in shaping it. A target of October is mentioned.

Alongside the roadmap, a summer in-game event called Sunlight Sands launched with the same update.

For players who have been waiting on housing customisation or third-party tooling, this dispatch offers the clearest timeline Jagex has publicly attached to either — though most windows remain approximate rather than locked.
