RuneScape's Mid-Game Rebalance Arrives, Touching Fletching, Agility, and More

Published 20 July 2026, the Mid-Game Rebalance update for RuneScape (authored by Mod Yuey) is now live on Steam. The stated aim is to bring key mid-game progression areas up to what the team calls "more modern standards" and to make that stretch of play more rewarding.

What changed

The update spans several distinct areas:

• Core Fletching Re-Tier — Level requirements for weapons and ammunition have been realigned to better match the power of comparable equipment elsewhere in the game. The team cites inconsistencies that built up over time, partly as a side-effect of prior Woodcutting tiering changes.
• Agility Rebalance — Includes further-buffed XP for Anachronia full lap completions, a change made after the preview build.
