Scritchy Scratchy's Challenge Update Adds Nine Rule-Bending Runs and New Languages
Patch 1.2 locks a suite of constraint-driven challenges behind a prestige gate, rewarding completionists with a secret ending.
Scritchy Scratchy's Patch 1.2 — the Challenge Update is live, introducing a Challenge menu that unlocks after a player's first prestige. Access begins with two challenges; completing them progressively opens all nine.
Each challenge is a self-contained mode with its own ruleset, a dollar-goal to hit, and a reward on completion. Tone varies: some are designed to be hard, some strange, and at least one leans on luck and patience.
The nine challenges
- Student Loans — Begin with three bad loans, no trash can, and symbols stay hidden until a card is fully scratched.
- Ticket Merge — Only plates can be purchased, but they merge into higher-tier tickets.
- Limited Supply — Only 15 tickets available, but the starting balance is $8,000 and everything up to Apple Tree is unlocked.
- Lucky Bag — Purchases are restricted to lucky bags, each containing a random ticket selection.
- Print Error — A printer produces tickets; low ink causes print errors, and an empty cartridge ends the run.
- Shuffle — Tickets carry random symbols borrowed from other ticket types.
- Gadget Only — Tickets may only be bought, scratched, and claimed via gadgets.
- No Luck Involved — Luck upgrades are banned, but jackpots pay 1,000× and super jackpots pay 1,000,000× their normal value.
- Ticket Furnace — A furnace must be fed with the most expensive unlocked ticket to stay alive.
Finishing all nine unlocks a secret catalogue containing three mysterious tickets, which can lead to a new special ending.
