Slay the Spire 2 Beta v0.111.0: Enemy Buffs, Card Reworks, and Indonesian Localization
The patch reshapes several enemy encounters and colorless cards while signaling a longer gap ahead as the team shifts focus to major content.
The fourteenth-of-August beta update for Slay the Spire 2 arrives with a note of warning: there will be no patch on the 27th, and the team has flagged that subsequent updates may take longer than usual as development attention turns toward what the announcement describes as "BIG, much-anticipated pieces of content."
For now, v0.111.0 delivers concrete changes across balance, localization, and presentation.
What changed
Card reworks
- Rend (Colorless): Energy cost dropped from 2 to 1; base damage reduced from 15/18 to 10/12
- Salvo and Splash have swapped rarities — Splash is now Rare, Salvo is not
- Tezcatara's Brightest Flame (Ancients): max HP loss on use increased from 1 to 2
- Nonupeipe's Beautiful Bracelet relic: now Enchants 4 random cards instead of letting the player choose
Enemy buffs
- Axebot: Hammer Uppercut damage up to 14/18; gains +10 Max HP each respawn; One-Two damage raised to 10/11 per hit
- Mechaknight: now also deals 8/12 damage on its Flamethrower turn
- Exoskeleton, Globe Head, Louse Progenitor, Soul Fysh, Entomancer: each received targeted stat increases at higher Ascension levels
Other additions
- Indonesian localization officially implemented
- New card art added
- Low HP idle animations introduced for all playable characters
The enemy-side buffs are broad and consistent, suggesting the beta's higher Ascension tiers were undertuned — players pushing into late difficulty should expect noticeably stiffer resistance.
