Storebound

Storebound has launched version 1.0, concluding an Early Access period the developer describes as eight months long. The release is free for existing Early Access owners.

What changed

  • Episodes 5 & 6 added — the narrative finale follows a corporate scientific team investigating disappearances inside the megastore, described as venturing deeper than prior characters
  • Mid-episode checkpoints — players no longer restart an entire chapter on death
  • Multiplayer netcode overhaul — aimed at more stable co-op connections
  • Advanced graphics settings — more granular visual options for performance tuning
  • Balancing and bug fixes — dozens of community-reported bugs addressed; puzzle difficulty tuned
  • Steam Achievements — a full roster added at launch

A Deluxe Edition is also now available, bundling the base game with a 23-track official soundtrack and a 49-page digital art book. A 20% launch discount is currently active, though no end date for the sale is stated in the announcement.

For players who followed Storebound through Early Access, the 1.0 update closes out a story that had been building since the game's initial release — and the checkpoint system alone should meaningfully change how the horror sequences feel in practice.
