The Bloodline's Company of Thieves Update Overhauls Brittlebean Hold

The Bloodline has received its Company of Thieves update, published August 6, 2026, bringing one of the game's more significant structural changes alongside a wave of new content.

What changed

The centerpiece is Brittlebean Hold, which has been repurposed from a planned repeatable dungeon into a guild hub for the newly opened Company of Thieves. Developer Camilla505 notes the dungeon format was abandoned — as it was with the Necropolis — because it didn't suit the game's strengths. The castle segment of the map is now inaccessible, with the cropland area serving as the active hub going forward.

Specific changes to Brittlebean Hold include:

• Hostages, randomized objectives, enemy spawns, harvestable spawns, bandit chests, and lootable weapon crates all removed
• The NPC that greeted players on first entry has been removed
• Access beyond the farmland is now blocked
• A tavern, interiors for all accessible buildings, a Company of Thieves quartermaster, and many new NPCs have been added
• Players can now join the Company of Thieves guild
• 15 new quests added
• A fresh armor set introduced

Beyond Brittlebean, the update also delivers major changes to the bounty and crime system, new dungeons, and a broad list of fixes and additions across the wider world — though specifics on those systems were cut from the available announcement text.

For players holding bandit keys, the developer explicitly advises scrapping them, as bandit chests are gone. The restructuring trades a hollow dungeon space for a functional social and quest hub — a meaningful shift in how a recurring location functions within the game.
