The Cabin Game's First Patch Targets AI Pathfinding, Monster Speed, and Frame Caps
Twisted Corridor's debut patch addresses a wave of launch bugs, from monsters blocking hallways to an FPS cap that was silently doing nothing.
The Cabin Game has received its first post-launch bug-fix update, with developer Twisted Corridor signaling that further patches are already in progress.
What changed
- End-game teleport exploit — a fix (marked "maybe") for players who found themselves transported to the forest outside the cabin and believed they had escaped
- Popcorn balls and monkey collision — popcorn balls in musical rooms were fixed; the monkey's collision was temporarily removed to stop it from blocking narrow hallways
- Gameplay tips — a significant number of additional in-game tips have been added
- Attic stalker tuning — the stalker is now described as more forgiving during escape sequences; a bug preventing players from dropping totems was also resolved
- AI navigation — fixed instances of AI getting stuck on drawers and cabinets
- Chase speed — reduced for some monsters
- Camera behavior — a location and rotation issue when sitting has been partially addressed (also marked "maybe")
- FPS cap — a bug where the maximum FPS setting was not actually being applied has been corrected, which the developer notes may improve optimization
- Clock audio — a dedicated audio slider for the ticking clock has been added to the settings menu
The developer acknowledges that many bugs remain under investigation, and a second patch is expected. For players who found certain monsters or AI behaviors breaking immersion or fairness, this update offers meaningful relief across several of the game's core systems.
