theHunter: Call of the Wild Hotfix 9.2.1 Fixes Crashes, Trophy Bugs, and Mission Logic

Hotfix 9.2.1 for theHunter: Call of the Wild arrived on July 14, 2026, carrying a concentrated set of bug fixes across equipment, missions, stability, trophies, and UI — plus a platform-specific crash fix for PlayStation.

What Changed

Stability

• A multiplayer crash triggered when a player was attacked by a Jaguar has been addressed.
• Several memory allocation issues have been fixed.
• On PlayStation, a frequent crash occurring on the Harvest Screen has been resolved.

Missions

• On Medved Taiga, the second objective for Federal Ecoservice #5 now appears correctly in the UI.
• On Intisuyu, Brother's Tall Tale #3 no longer completes by shooting any animal in the heart — the target is now correctly restricted to Caimans.
• A separate Brother's Tall Tale #3 bug that incorrectly required a single-shot heart kill has also been fixed.
• Brother's Gift on Intisuyu can now be completed by taxidermizing a Great One.

Trophies & Equipment

• Old Scar's taxidermized trophy now displays her unique fur variation. Players who taxidermized her before this patch retain their existing pseudo-melanistic trophy, and anyone who completed the relevant mission — taxidermy or not — receives a new correct trophy automatically.
• The Dahler Reverse Draw CB-150 and its ammunition are no longer incorrectly unlocked via Weapon Pack 1; owners of the Peru Hunting Reserve will have the associated Crossbow Sight unlocked.

UI & Equipment

• Relevant Intisuyu species have been added to Game Feeder codex entries.
• The occasional "low-poly" appearance of animals on the Harvest Screen has been patched.

The retroactive trophy correction for Old Scar is the most player-friendly element here — no one who encountered the bug is left empty-handed.
