theHunter: Call of the Wild™

Patch 9.3 for theHunter: Call of the Wild arrives alongside the Old West Weapon Pack — though these notes concern only the base update, not the new DLC.

What changed

Fallow Deer Antler Remaster Fallow deer antlers have been fully remastered with new textures, and additional antler models have been added to the TruRacs system to increase variety. All existing fallow deer — both live animals and trophies already in lodge collections — will display the new antlers. As a side effect, some deer on active maps may shed their antlers and regrow them.

New Great One: Taruca A new Great One has been added to the Intisuyu reserve, giving hunters a rare and notable target in that region.

Borderless Windowed Mode PC players can now select Borderless Windowed Mode from the Graphics settings menu.

Bug fixes

  • Waterfowl could previously flee indefinitely until the player left the area; this has been resolved.
  • The carry handle on the Zarza-15 .223 rifles was missing and has been restored.
  • Duplicate Pablo NPCs could appear in the Sanctuary under specific conditions — now fixed.
  • Highly customized trophy lodges could cause a crash on teleport; patched.
  • The game could soft-lock when exiting the Peru Reserve; fixed.
  • A crash triggered by changing reserves while being stalked by a Jaguar has been addressed.
  • Several random network-related crashes and multiple memory leaks in render and graphics subsystems have been resolved.
  • Great One Jaguar eyes appeared incorrectly in the Trophy Lodge; corrected.
  • Missing UI strings on the TruRacs Mountain Goat harvest screen have been restored.

Taken together, the stability fixes make this patch meaningful even for players unmoved by the visual and content additions.
