Yet Another Zombie Survivors Exits Early Access with Version 1.0

Three years after entering Early Access, Yet Another Zombie Survivors has reached version 1.0. Developer Kalafiorek describes the update as roughly the size of four typical major content updates combined.

What changed

• The Ranger — a ninth Survivor and former park ranger who wields a crossbow and fights alongside animal companions. She boosts Critical and Luck stats for all Survivors and can heal allies.
• Bio Lab — a new map with a circular layout whose borders are lined with toxic fumes. A decontamination mechanic introduces red danger zones that players must avoid. The map's lore frames it as the origin point of the apocalypse.
• Boss Rush mode — a new game mode in which players race to build strength before the ten-minute mark, at which point a Final Boss spawns. Each arena has its own leaderboard, and finishing faster earns a higher placement.

The full release brings a meaningful structural addition to the game's progression loop: Boss Rush imposes a hard timer and a leaderboard, shifting at least one mode from pure survival toward competitive time-attack territory.
