ZeroSpace Day One Patch Targets Crashes, Performance, and UI Clarity
The Early Access RTS lands its first patch with a broad sweep of fixes across stability, interface, and campaign — a signal of how the team plans to iterate.
ZeroSpace's day one patch, published July 21, 2026, arrives with a stated focus on performance, crashes, and UI adjustments — priorities the developers say were shaped directly by player feedback since launch.
What changed
Stability
- Fixed a crash when viewing player profiles
- Fixed a crash on loading screens
- Fixed an issue where closing the game did not always close the game
- Fixed a bug pulling players into lobbies with people they had previously partied with
- Fixed an unintended SteamVR launch for players with a Valve Index connected
Performance
- Adjusted select VFX effect types to be less demanding
- Offscreen unit FX now removed immediately rather than fading out
Settings & UI
- Resolution scale now defaults to 100 (addressing blurry visuals at launch)
- Default settings adjusted for usability; settings layout reorganized
- Control groups and unit name tooltips both enabled by default
- Language dropdown now displays options in their respective languages
- Home and versus page styling updated — described as the start of a larger UI refresh
- Miscellaneous menu alignment, escape-button, and hover-state fixes
Campaign
- Rare softlock on Operation Moby (mission 2) fixed
- Victory timer adjusted in Containment Breach; dialogue timing tweaked
Versus / Skirmish
- Leaderboards now functioning
- Xol no longer available through random selection in matchmaking
- Xol cast range upgrade cost corrected from 400 to 200
- An in-game roadmap has been added
General chat, previously broken, is also now reported as working. Taken together, the patch closes several gaps that would have made a first session noticeably rough — a reasonable baseline for continued Early Access development.
