Jigsaw Puzzle Dreams 1.5 Adds Piece Layout Controls and Assembly Space
Jigsaw Puzzle Dreams has received its 1.5 update, introducing a set of new puzzle options and helper tools — many drawn from community requests — alongside unspecified improvements and fixes across the game.
What changed
Four new puzzle setup options are now available under Puzzle Options when selecting a puzzle, with additional toggles in an expandable Helpers section:
- Leave Space for Puzzle — generates the puzzle with all pieces arranged around the edges of the Play Area, clearing a central space for assembly. The size of that space scales with puzzle size and the chosen Play Area.
- Separate Edge Pieces — moves all border pieces off to the side. Combined with Leave Space for Puzzle, edge pieces are placed in the central space rather than the sides.
- Avoid Overlapping Pieces — attempts to lay all pieces flat on the surface without stacking. Effectiveness depends on puzzle size and Play Area selection.
- Start Pieces Aligned 90° — generates all pieces facing the same direction to reduce initial rotation sorting. This does not remove random rotation entirely, nor does it orient pieces correctly for solving; that remains the function of the separate Disable Rotation option.
- Place Pieces in a Grid — places pieces in a structured grid layout (source text was truncated before full description).
