WARDOGS Season 1 Patch Overhauls Reporting, Voice Chat, and Stability
The Season 1 update for WARDOGS arrives alongside a pre-load, and its changelog covers more ground than most — touching moderation infrastructure, voice chat reliability, vehicle tuning, and a notable push on crash fixes.
What changed
Exploits & Moderation
- Fixed an exploit allowing players to reach an unintended position on the church roof.
- A new report tracking system has been added; repeat and bad-faith reporters now carry less influence.
- Cheater bans are announced in-server when match termination is off.
- The "kicked from server" message now only appears if a ban actually occurred.
Voice Chat
- Fixed voice cutting out permanently after a failed join; stale channel rejoins, push-to-talk targeting, and re-login all recover correctly.
- Improved voice reliability under load, with a visible communication status indicator added.
Gameplay & Vehicles
- Z20 Lakota received a balance pass and a fix for sluggish pitch; chase camera rotation rattle reduced by 6 dB.
- Helicopter input damping now applies to every input device.
- Vehicle turrets have a new maximum operator rotation speed.
- 155mm, 122mm, and flare deployables now occupy more loadout space.
- Fixed a DPI issue affecting tank aiming.
Performance & Stability
- DLSS Frame Generation can be toggled off without restarting; render target pool is now configurable.
- Reduced shadow cache refreshes to cut hitching when taking character control.
- Seven distinct crash paths fixed, spanning frame generation, network calls, chatbox tooltips, buildables, and weapon firing after owner disconnect.
- Shadow quality now clamps to Low on high benchmark scores rather than switching off entirely.
- Dropped items no longer affect navigation, recovering a measure of performance.
For players who have experienced voice dropout, erratic vehicle handling, or unexplained crashes, this patch addresses all three in concrete, specific terms.
