Digimon Story Time Stranger's July 9 Free Update Adds Terriermon and Photo Mode
A free update for Digimon Story Time Stranger is scheduled for July 9 (UTC), according to a community announcement posted on June 24 by the developer.
What changed
Terriermon Assistant added as a playable character
Photo Mode added during field exploration
A new screen for checking Digivolution Conditions added within the Digifarm
The additions span both content and convenience. Terriermon's inclusion as a playable character expands the roster in a meaningful way, while Photo Mode gives players a tool for capturing moments during exploration. The Digivolution Conditions screen is a targeted quality-of-life change — centralising information that players previously had to track elsewhere, or guess at entirely.
No changes to pricing or other systems were mentioned in the announcement. For players managing Digifarm progression, the new conditions screen alone may reduce friction considerably.

Digimon Story Time Stranger Free Update Adds Terriermon, Photo Mode
Bandai Namco's Digimon Story Time Stranger is receiving a free update on July 9 (UTC), according to an announcement posted to the game's Steam community page.
What changed
The update introduces three distinct additions:
Terriermon Assistant joins the roster as a playable character
Photo Mode becomes available during field exploration
A new Digifarm screen lets players check Digivolution Conditions directly
The Terriermon addition is the headline item — a playable character expansion that would typically carry a price tag arrives here at no cost. Photo Mode is a quality-of-life feature increasingly common in modern RPGs, enabling players to capture and compose in-game moments during open-area traversal. The Digivolution Conditions screen addresses what is often a friction point in Digimon titles, where evolving a creature requires tracking opaque stat thresholds; surfacing that information in the Digifarm should reduce guesswork for players managing their roster.
No further details — additional content, patch size, or platform scope beyond Steam — appear in the source material.
For players already in the game, July 9 delivers meaningful utility without an additional purchase.
