GERONIMO v1.0.3 Brings Performance Overhaul, AK12, and Sweeping Gun Fixes
After an extended wait the studio attributes to difficulty isolating performance bottlenecks alongside unspecified real-life events, Dark Matter Studios has shipped version 1.0.3 of GERONIMO — a patch the team describes as producing a noticeably smoother experience across the board.
What changed
Performance & visuals
- Dramatic performance improvements and optimization applied across the game
- Visual fidelity and stability improved broadly
New weapons
- AK12 and AK12 Akvilon added, representing the patch's headline eastern-conflict equipment
New attachments
- Holosun 507C pistol red dot, PK122 red dot
- Arisaka Handstop (Picatinny and MLOK), RK0 / RK4 / RK1 B25(L) foregrips
- Modlite OKW offset flashlight, Perst-4 laser, Klesch-2P laser/light
- MLOK rail adapters in 3, 7, 9, and 11-slot configurations, plus a cantilever variant
- Full MLOK rail support added for all guns (previously limited to 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions)
Bug fixes
- Offset eyebox bug for scopes corrected; eye relief math fully revised so each scope now has a defined sweet spot
- Impact sounds no longer carry baked-in ricochet audio, improving ballistic accuracy of the soundscape
- Reverse BCM grip pose corrected for right-hand hold
- Mount points fixed for the Aimpoint T2 Unity FDE and all SRO variants
The studio notes it is also working on improved communication through videos and dedicated development updates, though no timeline was given. For players who have been waiting on playable frame rates, this patch is the substantive intervention the game has needed.
