Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Announced for 2027, First Trailer Drops
Capcom has released the first trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a large-scale expansion to Monster Hunter Wilds slated to arrive in 2027.
What the trailer reveals
- Two new monsters: the bird wyvern Araketa and the elder dragon Gundoraja make their debuts.
- A new locale and base will serve as the setting for the expansion's content.
- Nata returns — now fully grown — alongside the Hunter, continuing the narrative from the base game.
The expansion has its own dedicated website and is already on Steam's wishlist page.
Two requirements are stated: ownership of the Monster Hunter Wilds base game, and completion of the 7★ assignment Awaking From a Dream before the expansion's content becomes accessible.
