Dying Light: The Beast Anniversary Update Brings Three-Week Event and Daily Reward Calendar
Techland has released version 1.7 of Dying Light: The Beast, timed to the game's first anniversary. Published on September 17, 2026, the update centers on two parallel limited-time activities rather than core gameplay changes.
What changed
Call of the Beast: 1st Anniversary Edition — a three-week community event beginning September 21st:
- A 2XP Weekend kicks off on September 18th ahead of the main event
- Players complete weekly global goals, either cooperatively or competitively
- Weekly community votes determine gameplay modifiers that affect combat in Castor Woods
- Tougher enemies and rare Bober Infected spawn variants are available during the event
- Special Anniversary rewards are redeemable through the Outpost event page
Crane's Anniversary Drops — a 21-day web-based reward calendar, also starting September 21st:
- Hosted on the Outpost Web Hub with daily login rewards
- Rewards include in-game dockets, store points, festive weapon skins, and blueprints
- Missed daily rewards can be claimed retroactively until October 19th at 2:00 PM CEST, after which unclaimed items are permanently lost
The source text indicates additional game updates were included in 1.7 but the provided material ends before those details are listed, so no further changes can be reported here.
For players who have stayed with the game, the anniversary window through mid-October represents the only opportunity to claim several of these rewards before they close permanently.
