Taival Early Access Patch 0.5.0-379 Delivers Over 25 Bug Fixes
The early access build of Taival received patch 0.5.0-379 on 21 July 2026, authored by atomi tonttu. The developer framed it as a direct response to player feedback, describing the batch as intended to make "gameplay experience feel a lot smoother."
What changed
The fixes span nearly every system in the game:
- Certain animals could not be tamed — now resolved
- The Mystery of Henki quest failed to mark as completed
- Dropping specific items would launch the player across the map
- Overleveled players were unable to receive drops from ore sources and similar
- The Henki companion now only attacks creatures the player has first struck
- Bedrolls could be placed without limit
- Bilzur's Boat quest stalled if the player already held Munchroot glue
- Loading saves on certain colliders caused the player to spawn beneath geometry
- Toughened Leather was not craftable using Hillhoof Hide
- Jump attacks could throw the player into the air unintentionally
- Water level-of-detail shifted incorrectly with camera angle
- Magic projectile size increase skill stacked on every attack rather than once
- Keybinds and map markers were not saving properly
- Melee aim lock-on rotated too slowly, feeling unresponsive
- Distant enemies stopped pursuing after being hurt
- Favourites failed to swap to a weapon in a non-active slot correctly
- Companion pack mule weights were invisible in the trade view
- Trihorn meat was not cookable; talismans were unusable for the first several minutes of a session due to false cooldown triggers
- Mushrooms in Glimmercap Cave were unreachable
- An overpowered staff was obtainable from the starting cave
Taken together, the patch closes a notable number of quest-progression blockers and inventory edge cases that had accumulated since the previous build.
