Idyll Isle 1.0.5.6 Fixes Rice Pacing, Slashes Livestock Micromanagement
Future Soil Media's 1.0.5.6 update for Idyll Isle targets pacing and quality-of-life across farming, livestock, and performance — with a handful of new content folded in.
What changed
New content
- Clams arrive via filtering basins: repaired basins passively produce them, and the fish merchant stocks Clams as a protein-feed fallback. They are not a fishing catch.
- Rice now unlocks after the farmer echo finale (yellow bell pepper ×50), granting access to advanced farmland planting, kitchen and voyage use, and a 10-rice starter reward.
- Crops are reorganised into Basic / Finale / Advanced subtabs; the tutorial auto-switches to whichever tab holds the target crop.
- A new quest — Step into Advanced Farming — asks players to unlock and harvest rice and asparagus five times each (blocked in the demo).
Gameplay improvements
- Livestock ageing now pauses while animals are fed; unfed animals age at half wild speed. Feed intervals extend to roughly 75–90 minutes per serving, up from approximately 6–8 minutes.
- A global push notification fires when pen animals need feed but stock has run out; the same feed type will not spam alerts within a five-minute window.
- Agriculture tooltips drop level and water/sec display; sell price now appears below cost.
- Stored buildings retain their upgrade levels when re-placed, using a first-in-first-out order for identical types.
Performance
- Present FPS throttling sets 60 fps when focused, 30 fps when minimized, and 60 fps when unfocused but visible — easing transparent-window stutter on Windows.
Taken together, the patch should reduce the moment-to-moment obligation of livestock upkeep considerably, while the rice unlock fix removes a bottleneck that was leaving kitchen and voyage crafting underserved at a critical progression point.
