Ore Factory Squad Demo Patch v1.7.0 Fixes Crashes, Expands Audio and Nighttime Systems
The demo for Ore Factory Squad received patch v1.7.0 on July 12, 2026, targeting a range of stability, progression, and usability issues as the game approaches its stated July 16 launch date.
What changed
Stability
- Fixed a crash affecting AMD RDNA3 users accessing FSR4
- Fixed a separate crash for AMD RDNA4 users when switching to FSR4
- Resolved several additional crash-related issues
Tutorial & Progression
- Fixed interactions with vehicles and forklifts becoming locked and showing incorrect "continue tutorial" warnings
- Fixed multiple tutorial issues that could block progression entirely
Gameplay & Systems
- Increased daytime length
- Reduced nighttime fatigue rate so characters lose energy more slowly
- Removed the restriction that prevented calling deliveries at night
- Added an automatic recovery system that teleports resources falling under the factory back to the surface
Audio & UI
- Machine sounds moved to a dedicated audio mixer with independent volume control
- Input and output device selection added for Voice Chat
- All in-game control bindings added to the Keybinding menu
- "Backpack Full" notification repositioned and given an animation
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the procedural digging shader appearing brighter than surrounding soil
- Fixed Mining Equipment being placeable inside the factory
- Fixed pallets being incorrectly placeable at the dig site
- Removed the Hammer interaction UI for moving or selling resource-laden pallets
For players who found the demo's nights punishing or its tutorial unreliable, this patch directly addresses both friction points before the full release arrives.
