QUALITY OF LIFEVisually overhauled the pause menu and settings menu. Added audio settings and audio sliders. Added frame rate cap options. (30, 60, 120 or Unlimited are supported)Added a V-sync toggle. Game will now grab the user's screen resolution and try to adjust accordingly. If a supported resolution is not detected it will default to 1080p at a 16:9 ratio.BUG FIXESFixed a bug where the characters of the final conversation could be killed through a gap on the door. Fixed a major bug that would trigger an infinite loop where the player is stuck shooting at the characters in the final conversation and the game would not end. Fixed a major bug that would make one of the characters in the final conversation speak when they are supposed to be dead. Fixed a bug that would cause the player to glitch through the final door and not trigger the conversation. Notes:If you are having trouble running the game, or your machine runs to hot we recommend dropping the graphics quality to medium, keep the resolution at 1080p or lower and set the frame rate cap to 60 for the best experience. (only drop to 30 if you are really struggling for performance). If any more major bugs are reported our small support team will try to address them in a timely manner, but we don't promise major updates unless needed. Thank you all for your support, and keep finding justice! ~ Team Platanitos

Banana Republic 1.0 Launches as a Free Student Project on Steam
Banana Republic is now available on Steam as a free-to-play release. The game is the work of Team Platanitos, who describe it as a student project — a detail that frames both its origins and its support model.
What changed
Version 1.0 is live and free to download
The team has committed to fixing major bugs after launch
Quality-of-life updates are planned, though on no fixed schedule
Players are invited to submit bug reports and leave reviews
The developers are candid about what players should expect post-launch: incremental improvements rather than a structured roadmap. "We won't promise a consistent schedule but we will be improving the game little by little," the announcement states.
For players, the barrier to entry is as low as it gets — free to download, with a team that has publicly signaled it intends to stay engaged with the community through at least the roughest edges of launch.
