Echoes of Kyria Adds Dwarf Class, Two New Bosses, and Pet System Overhaul
Echoes of Kyria's latest update, authored by Sarn and published on 21 August 2026, delivers one of the more structurally significant patches the game has seen — introducing a new playable character, a new weapon category, two new bosses, and a reworked companion system.
What Changed
New Character & Weapon
- The Dwarf joins the roster, built around constructing automated defensive structures that fight alongside the player.
- Hammers arrive as a new weapon type, described as heavy-hitting and designed specifically for the Dwarf.
Pet System Rework
- Pet Fusion now allows summoned creatures to inherit each other's special perks, enabling customized combinations.
- Base stats for all summoned creatures have been significantly buffed to remain viable in later stages.
- Loot-fetching companions have been reworked for smoother operation and improved late-game scaling.
New Bosses & Enemy Changes
- The Yeti appears in Stage 1; the Demon King is positioned at the end of Stage 2.
- Enemies now spawn further away, providing more initial breathing room.
- Enemy density in Stage 2 has been significantly increased, and enemy scaling has been adjusted.
UI, Performance & Fixes
- A complete UI overhaul introduces a cleaner interface.
- Treasure chests now have new visual feedback effects.
- Major optimization work, several controller input fixes, and various minor bug patches are included.
For players who had set pets aside as unreliable mid-game tools, the fusion and stat buffs make the companion layer worth revisiting from the ground up.
