Infestation: The New Z Runs Free Premium and Double Rewards Weekend
Infestation: The New Z is running a weekend event from August 14 to August 17, 2026, offering two concurrent bonuses to all players.
What changed
Free Premium access — players without an active Premium subscription can use Premium features at no cost for the duration of the event. The full list of benefits is detailed on the game's store page at playnewz.com/store.
Double Daily Rewards — the daily reward timer is halved from 24 hours to 12 hours, allowing players to claim rewards twice as often as usual.
Event window: August 14, 2026, 1:00 PM CEST through August 17, 2026, 1:00 PM CEST.
The announcement was posted by Silenterror on the game's Steam community hub. No other changes, patches, or additions are mentioned in the source material.
For players on the fence about a Premium subscription, the free access window offers a direct trial before committing — and the accelerated reward schedule means even returning players have a concrete reason to log in across all three days.

Infestation: The New Z Returns to Sniper-Only Battle Royale for the Weekend
The Medieval 2026 Event has ended in Infestation: The New Z, and developer Silenterror has moved straight into a returning weekend format: a Battle Royale mode where sniper rifles dominate the loot pool.
What changed
Loot spawns consist almost entirely of sniper rifles
Only melee weapons and handguns are available alongside them
The event runs until Monday, August 10th, 2026 at 3:00 PM CEST
The mode is described as a community favourite, and the constrained loot table is the whole point — with long-range weapons filling nearly every spawn, individual shots carry considerably more weight than in standard play.
For players returning after the Medieval event, the shift represents an immediate change in pacing: close-quarters options are scarce, and positioning relative to sniping lanes becomes the dominant concern from the first moments of a match.
