A-Spec First Assault

A-Spec: First Assault has reached version 1.0.0, bringing a wide set of additions that touch nearly every layer of the game — from campaign structure to moment-to-moment combat feel.

What changed

Campaign & progression

  • Chapter 6 main missions added to the Campaign
  • New "Assault" side missions for Chapters 4, 5, and 6
  • New Game+ allows repeat playthroughs while carrying over ships, equipment, and Prestige

Profile management

  • A new Player Profile Manager supports multiple campaign save profiles; profiles can be added, deleted, renamed, or cloned. The Steam-linked profile cannot be renamed or deleted.

Combat & controls

  • Individual Wingmen orders can now be issued through the Commands Menu (default: F8)
  • A new control binding lets players target their target's target
  • Glyph positioning in the Commands Menu adjusted for broader resolution support

New weapons

  • Rotagun X1 Small Turret Repeater
  • Bolter, Breaker, and Mass Driver Medium Guns, each with Medium Turret variants (X1, X2, X3)

Audio & visual feedback

  • Dynamic Combat Music tracks added in-mission; randomised tracks for the main menu
  • Hull Damage Warning audio cue triggers at 75%, 50%, and 25% hull integrity
  • Explosive shockwave VFX and camera shake on ship deaths
  • Per-type projectile impact VFX for non-explosive projectiles
  • Collision sound effects and gun barrel kickback animation on firing
  • Distinct debris models for the Avdiivka, Science Vessel, Civilian Tug, Civilian Frigate, and Civilian Transport

Quality of life

  • Controller bindings can now be imported and exported via Options > Controllers
  • Error logging during missions writes a log and screenshot to an "ERROR_REPORTS" folder
  • Empty default loadout presets added for non-combative structures and vessels

Taken together, the 1.0 release positions A-Spec: First Assault as a meaningfully more complete experience — richer in content, more legible in combat, and better equipped for replay.
