Developer VitaliiPriadein has outlined the contents of ALEK's Patch 1.0, due to be uploaded within a week of the announcement. The list is substantial, touching combat balance, controls, audio, level design, and UI in a single build.

What changed

  • Fall damage removed — the developer notes there is nowhere to fall anyway
  • Enemy damage reduced; player shot damage increased — intended to lower the time it takes to eliminate enemies
  • Hip-fire shooting added, responding to frequent player requests
  • Reloading while aiming is now possible
  • Pistol gunshot sounds and AKSU muzzle flash replaced; dense gun smoke removed across the board
  • Bullet spread reduced for automatic weapons, improving long-range accuracy
  • Medkits added across levels
  • Grenade count on bots reduced significantly — grenades drew the most player complaints
  • Shoulder switching implemented to resolve a camera-collision bug that could block shots near walls
  • Lighting improvements and a cosmetic pass across levels; some elements rescaled, added, or removed
  • Additional navigation hints placed where progression was unclear
  • Settings menu accessible from the pause menu
  • Cutscene skip button formalized (an Enter-key shortcut already existed)
  • Audio tweaks planned for quiet sounds, including footsteps and enemy 3D positioning
  • No additional checkpoints added; the developer judged the other changes make the game sufficiently easier

The patch also hints at a fix for a "double build" download issue, though the source text cuts off before fully explaining it. Taken together, the update represents a significant reduction in moment-to-moment friction for players who found the original release punishing or awkward to control.
