Allumeria 0.15.1 Tackles Crash Risk, Progression Skips, and Drowning Damage

Developer Unomelon has shipped version 0.15.1 of Allumeria, the first patch since the game's Early Access launch, describing it as an effort to clear "low hanging fruit" quickly while a more involved fix for the NPC system — where NPCs fail to detect rooms or appear as duplicates — remains in progress.

What changed

• Crash mitigation: A try/catch has been added around a block-breaking crash that the developer could not replicate locally, offered as a temporary measure.
• Save corruption fix: Autosaves could previously trigger on the loading screen and corrupt saves; this is now resolved.
• Drowning damage: Increased from 1 HP per breath to 10 HP per breath. A note in the patch flags that drowning will eventually move to the effect system for multiplayer syncing.
• Freezing damage: Raised from 8 to 30 per 2 seconds.
• Armoured potion: Defence value buffed from 4 to 12.
• Progression skip closed: Snow crates could be mined before intended; this has been corrected.
• Fullscreen behaviour: Fixed state resetting when leaving the settings menu; the window now recentres on exit. Borderless mode is noted as a future goal.
• Inventory and UI fixes: Held item no longer sticks on screen when closing inventory; item ID overlay removed from the space-hold action; Escape now exits keybind mode rather than binding to Escape.
• Crafting and world content: Palm planks are now craftable, palm leaves have a loot table assigned, palm logs gain a "Thick" variant, and ladder material is corrected from stone to wood.
• Multiplayer fix: Glass shard entity now functions in multiplayer.

For players who have already encountered save corruption or the block-breaking crash, this patch is the most pressing reason to update.
