ARC Raiders 1.40.0 Adds Phantom Targets Event and Volare Colour Variants

Store Update 1.40.0 is live for ARC Raiders, bringing cosmetic additions, a new in-game event, and a cross-promotion with Embark's other title, THE FINALS.

What changed

• Two new colour variants — black and yellow — added for the Volare outfit
• Phantom Targets event launched: repair faulty Antennas to triangulate signals and engage ARC with "unconventional strategies" in Part 1 of the new Phantom Targets Player Project
• Part 2 of the Phantom Targets Project is stated to arrive with the 1.42 Update on August 18, alongside a dedicated Phantom Targets Event
• Embark Summer Celebration cross-promotion: playing three hours of ARC Raiders earns the Azimuth outfit in THE FINALS
• Tick Hunter Set wishlisting is open on Steam; the bundle — containing four outfit colourways, a backpack, backpack charm, face style, and 2,400 Raider Tokens — is listed as available on all storefronts from August 18

Known issues

The team has acknowledged reports of Queen and Matriarch stomp damage passing through walls and triggering at excessive range. A fix is described as "in the works." Separately, launch errors affecting some PC players are also under investigation; no timelines were given for either fix.
