Ashes of Creation Opens Private Test Realm to All Alpha Two Testers on Steam

Ashes of Creation's development studio Intrepid has made the Private Test Realm available on Steam, adding a separate app — "Ashes of Creation PTR" — to the libraries of existing Alpha Two testers.

What changed

• A new, distinct Steam app for the PTR is now visible in the libraries of anyone who already has Ashes of Creation
• Installing both the main client and the PTR requires additional disk space; players are advised to confirm they have room before downloading
• The PTR carries no NDA: screenshots, video recordings, and streams are explicitly permitted
• PTR testing details will be communicated through the Ashes of Creation Discord; players must connect their Intrepid account to Discord to participate

What to expect on the PTR

The PTR is positioned as an unstable testing ground rather than a polished experience. Intrepid notes that character wipes will be frequent, bug counts will be higher than on the main build, and testing will focus on specific game systems at any given time.

For Alpha Two testers willing to tolerate the rougher edges, the PTR represents the earliest public look at features still in development — and a direct line into shaping how those systems evolve before they reach the live build.
