Dead by Daylight 10.1.2 Tunes The Judgment and Adds Xenomorph to 2v8

Patch 10.1.2 for Dead by Daylight arrives with targeted adjustments to The Judgment and a notable expansion of the 2v8 game mode.

The Judgment: Divine Light Adjustments

The Zealous curve window for Divine Light has been extended again — from 0.6s (set in a prior hotfix) to 0.8s — as the developers note that the duration was feeling too short relative to how long Divine Light was actually being controlled. More significantly, a 0.3s curve window has been added for the non-Zealous state, giving The Judgment outplay potential outside of its primary power condition. The Zealous window remains longer, preserving an incentive to reach that state.

A third change addresses re-engagement after Exile: Survivors liberated from Exile now respawn at least 32 metres from The Judgment and receive 1 second of immunity to Divine Light, intended to prevent immediate re-chases and give displaced Survivors a genuine reset window.

2v8: Xenomorph and Invoking Salt

The Xenomorph joins the 2v8 mode as a new Killer. Its listed innate skills include:

• Turrets that knock The Xenomorph out of Crawler Mode are automatically destroyed
• Crawler Mode cooldown is 25% faster while outside tunnels
• Tail Strike inflicts Mangled on Survivors for 70 seconds
• Exiting a tunnel grants 5% Haste for 3 seconds

A new Survivor item, Invoking Salt, can be found in Chests. It is consumed on placement after a 3-second action, and up to 4 Survivors can then perform a 40-second interaction — though the source text ends before describing the interaction's outcome.

For players, the patch meaningfully lowers the skill floor on The Judgment while the Xenomorph's tunnel-and-Crawler kit offers the 2v8 roster a distinctly mobile threat.
