Drunk Dad vs Family Gets Progression, Gadgets, and a Redesigned UI

What changed

Author Viper's "Gameplay Update" for Drunk Dad vs Family is a wide-ranging patch touching nearly every layer of the game, from session structure to graphics settings.

Progression & customization

• A new Progression System grants EXP and tracks Challenges
• Leveling up unlocks Gadgets and Hats
• Character Skin Selection and Hat Customization are now available in pre-match screens
• A Dad Voting system lets players weigh in before each match begins
• A Match Summary screen appears after every game

Gameplay mechanics

• The Dad role can now carry injured family members and lock them inside closets
• The Family side can unlock and equip a Flashlight, Grappling Hook, or Shield
• Yogurt cabinets are highlighted when a player is Heavily Injured
• Throwing mechanics and character animations have been improved
• New sound effects added, including crouch sounds

Interface & graphics

• The user interface has been completely redesigned
• New Progression and Unlock screens added
• Play Again and Return to Lobby buttons introduced
• The Epic and Cinematic graphics presets have been removed for performance consistency

Bug fixes

• Numerous gameplay bugs resolved
• Multiple multiplayer synchronization and networking issues fixed
