Drunk Dad vs Family Gets Progression, Gadgets, and a Redesigned UI
What changed
Author Viper's "Gameplay Update" for Drunk Dad vs Family is a wide-ranging patch touching nearly every layer of the game, from session structure to graphics settings.
Progression & customization
- A new Progression System grants EXP and tracks Challenges
- Leveling up unlocks Gadgets and Hats
- Character Skin Selection and Hat Customization are now available in pre-match screens
- A Dad Voting system lets players weigh in before each match begins
- A Match Summary screen appears after every game
Gameplay mechanics
- The Dad role can now carry injured family members and lock them inside closets
- The Family side can unlock and equip a Flashlight, Grappling Hook, or Shield
- Yogurt cabinets are highlighted when a player is Heavily Injured
- Throwing mechanics and character animations have been improved
- New sound effects added, including crouch sounds
Interface & graphics
- The user interface has been completely redesigned
- New Progression and Unlock screens added
- Play Again and Return to Lobby buttons introduced
- The Epic and Cinematic graphics presets have been removed for performance consistency
Bug fixes
- Numerous gameplay bugs resolved
- Multiple multiplayer synchronization and networking issues fixed
- Animation and UI issues addressed; overall stability improved
