Dune: Awakening PTC Patch 1.5.15.0 Lets Players Opt Out of BattlEye in Solo and Private Play

Patch 1.5.15.0 has landed on Dune: Awakening's Public Test Client, carrying a modest but consequential set of changes authored by Pickle Riki and published September 30, 2026.

What changed

• Optional BattlEye: Players can now launch the game without BattlEye anti-cheat installed or enabled — but only for single-player mode or private and self-hosted servers that do not require it. BattlEye remains mandatory on multiplayer servers that have it enabled; attempting to join one without it triggers an error.
• Scout ornithopter glide penalty reduced: The speed reduction while gliding with a scout ornithopter fitted with a rocket pod module drops from 20% to 10%. The patch notes flag this figure as provisional, with further tuning planned across both scout and assault ornithopters during the PTC period.
• Crash fix: An issue that could crash the game when using the Base Reconstruction Tool to place a large base has been resolved.
• New-player experience tweak: A shielded enemy in the introductory sequence now gives newcomers more time to land a Heavy Attack before the enemy retaliates.
• Progression fixes: Multiple issues affecting Story and player Journey progression have been addressed.
• Stability: Several game and server stability improvements are included.
