FOR HONOR™

For Honor is adding Arakure to its roster on July 23. Despite her Samurai faction alignment, her backstory is built on resentment toward that very faction — her brother was killed by an Orochi guard following a heist, and she now aims to deface the statue of Khatun during the Samurai Feast as an act of defiance.

What's new

Arakure at a glance:

  • Faction: Samurai
  • Role: Assassin
  • Weapon: Tonfas
  • Playstyle: Strike Meter & Target Swap Specialist
  • Described as scrappy, fast, and volatile — willing to bend the rules of engagement to win

Metal Trials Throwback Event returns as a limited-time PvE wave-survival mode running three weeks, with difficulty escalating each week. Rewards include black armor and weapon sets for all heroes, plus an outfit, two colour swatches, two embossings, and an emote.

Starter Dominion runs July 23 through August 6 — the familiar three-point capture mode, but stripped of Gear Perks. This iteration does retain Stamina, Feats, and Revenge, distinguishing it from past versions. Five maps will be in rotation.

Hero Fests are also scheduled, each unlocking a specific hero for all players with double XP and new executions:

  • Berserker — August 20
  • Virtuosa — August 27
  • Jormungandr — September 3

Taken together, the update offers a new hero to learn and several overlapping event windows that give players distinct reasons to return through at least early September.
