Forsaken Realms: Vahrin's Call

Patch 1.1.1 for Forsaken Realms: Vahrin's Call is live, led by what developer Robin_TitanRoc calls an economy overhaul intended to keep looting "fun, fresh and exciting" while sharpening the sense of progression.

What changed

Economy

  • General loot containers now spawn in smaller numbers but hold more loot each
  • General loot containers no longer respawn
  • Enemy loot drops have been increased
  • The variety of miscellaneous world items has been reduced
  • Proximity looting has been removed; interact radius for lootables is now greatly increased
  • Harvestables have been re-balanced across all areas

Quality of life

  • New keybinds added for movement and camera inputs
  • Palace Towers puzzle paintings updated for clearer readability
  • Fences in Forest Edge and South Vale lowered to ease traversal
  • Initial shader compiler now runs faster, overlapping with the photosensitivity warning screen
  • Krat collision updated to allow jumping over them
  • Projectiles now correctly trigger traps
  • Bursting Ice updated to deal piercing damage
  • Blood rot bodies can now be detonated remotely via projectiles

General fixes

  • Potential fix for shortcut wheel keybindings resetting on game close
  • Spell upgrade material requirements adjusted
  • Gold requirement removed from the Masterfully Crafted quest
  • Loot container names corrected in-world
  • Crash fix related to certain creature hair

The shift from scattered, respawning loot to denser, finite containers marks a meaningful philosophy change — players who previously swept areas repeatedly will need to adjust how they approach resource gathering.
