Graveyard Keeper 2 Update 1.005 Fixes Morgue Lockups and Rebalances Crafting

Update 1.005 for Graveyard Keeper 2 arrived on 24 September 2026, touching nearly every system in the game — from morgue mechanics to audio quirks.

What changed

Stations & Morgue

• The Study Table no longer locks up after an item is inserted for Science, restoring the ability to start research.
• The Crematorium can no longer become permanently stuck with a corpse on the table.
• The Resurrection Table now correctly retains a body's "prepared" and strap state after leaving and re-entering the morgue.
• Resurrected zombies display the correct post-resurrection animation on re-entry.
• Fixed cases where zombies could not be resurrected even when quest and item requirements were met.
• A zombie-limit hint — previously missing — is now present at the Resurrection Table on PlayStation.

Building & Zones

• Demolishing buildings inside the resurrection zone is possible again.

Balance

• Tree-log sawing yields more chunks per log.
• Kiln and Furnace craft and fuel costs have been rebalanced.

Performance

• Heavy FPS drops at the top of the alchemy tower have been reduced.
• A batch of errors occurring before the first sleep or save has been cleared.

UI, Audio & Visuals

• Quest navigation hints hide correctly during sleep and blackout sequences.
• The Keeper's house oven no longer plays its "job done" sound on every room entry while idle.
• Zombie crafts now surface a skill-level warning when the player cannot yet perform them, and craft-lock and wait-delivery icons behave correctly.

Taken together, the fixes remove several progression blockers tied to the resurrection system, while the log-yield and kiln adjustments should ease the mid-game resource grind.
