Hole Is Mine

Three days after launch, incremental game Hole Is Mine has crossed 20,000 copies sold. Developer delunadogames marked the milestone with a community post and, on the same day, shipped a patch alongside a new Supporter Pack.

What changed

The update — internally dubbed "Hole Patch #1" — addresses clarity and feedback issues surfaced since release:

  • Tentacle upgrades gated properly: High-cost Tentacle upgrades are now blocked until the Tentacle Totem generator is unlocked, reducing confusion about resource farming across earlier Caves.
  • Final Boss indicators: New visual cues clarify what players should do when the Boss enters its protection phase.
  • Costume and equipment tracking: The UI now displays how many Costumes and Equipment Combos of each type are currently equipped.
  • Visual effects added: New VFX appear when using a Druid Potion and in several other minor locations.
  • Astro Prospector acknowledgment: Players who have Astro Prospector in their library receive a thank-you message.

Separately, the Supporter Pack is now available for purchase. It adds a statue to the in-game Village bearing the buyer's Steam name — described by the developer as "a funny detail" rather than a gameplay advantage.

For players navigating the mid-game, the Tentacle upgrade gate in particular should smooth a progression pain point that the studio says generated notable feedback in its first days of release.
