IKANDY 1.2.6 Adds Workshop Support, 50 AI Scenes, and Overhauled Console
A substantial update reshapes how IKANDY handles scenes, presets, and media connections — with Steam Workshop integration at the centre.
The August 2026 release of IKANDY lands with enough changes to touch nearly every corner of the application, from how it launches to how it talks to external audio software.
What changed
Scenes & Presets
- 50 new AI scenes added to the library
- A new shelf of 7 tuned presets
- Fresh installs now open on Endless Glowing Core by default
- Generated scenes carry the grade they earned and save the exact view being looked at
Steam Workshop
- Scenes can now be published to the Workshop and subscribed to from other creators
- Previews and cover art are preserved through the upload/download process
Console
- Five-detent Quality slider
- Single-chip God Rays and LUT
- A proper Cycle ladder
- A corner display that floats and can be detached
PILOT & Playback
- PILOT is now on by default
- No longer stalls on a scene that fails to load
- Play Filtered takes priority over PILOT when active
Media & Output
- Virtual cable and DJ mixer rigs are now detected and described rather than read as a flat EQ
- MusicBee, foobar2000, and VLC connect automatically
- Spout output is considerably faster
- Screen capture now runs on the GPU
Interface
- Readability fixes on light themes
- Reorganised library browser with playlists
- MilkDrop preset pass
Taken together, the Workshop integration and automatic media-player connections lower the barrier for both sharing and running the software — making setup less manual and the content pool considerably larger.
