Incremental Infinity v1.01.4 Makes Ascension Nodes Transparent
Two rapid updates shift the game's skill-tree philosophy from deliberate mystery to legible progression.
Developer Rablo Games has shipped two updates for Incremental Infinity in quick succession, walking back an intentional design choice in the process.
The original skill tree was built around organic discovery — players were meant to explore freely and stumble upon Ascension nodes without the game spelling out the rules. Community feedback pushed back on that vision. Players reported feeling confused about how Ascension nodes were found at all, and worried about the possibility of locking themselves out. The studio took that seriously.
What changed
Version 1.01.3
- Base damage slightly increased (Normal Mode only; Easy Mode untouched)
- Colorblind Mode added
- Option to disable particle effects added
Version 1.01.4
- New icon added to the top-right corner of the Skill Tree; hovering over it shows exactly how many sectors must be expanded before the next Blinking Star appears
- VSync option added
The sector-count tooltip is the headline change: what was previously an opaque system is now fully legible, letting players plan skill-tree builds without uncertainty about whether they might miss an Ascension node.
Rablo Games also notes that detailed weapon statistics — showing comparative damage per weapon type — are currently in development, though no release window is given.
For players who found the skill tree's hidden logic more frustrating than rewarding, the change converts a potential sticking point into a planning tool.
