Inferno Protocol

Tektonic Interactive has pushed Early Access update v0.55 for Inferno Protocol, a patch focused less on new content and more on closing gaps that have accumulated since launch.

What changed

  • Layer 3 entry was broken; players can now enter without obstruction.
  • A quick-access ability menu has been added — Capslock on PC, L1/LB on gamepad.
  • Distant teleporters can now be removed by walking up to them; buildable teleporters also received visual effects.
  • A bug causing loot to fall underground when digging soil with a shovel has been fixed.
  • Enemy AI has been improved.
  • Skills no longer lock up after a Quick Time Event.
  • Loot drop balance has been adjusted.
  • Turning off generators now prevents gates from closing, correcting unintended behaviour.
  • Player markers no longer disappear unexpectedly.
  • Several issues with the Sliding ability have been resolved.
  • The Large Backpack is now craftable.
  • The /imstuck command has been improved.
  • Generator effects in the Jungle maze layer have been fixed.
  • Door frames now appear correctly in their categories.
  • The Prologue has been improved.
  • Gamepad support is expanded — skills can now be assigned to buttons from control settings.
  • Fired arrows can again be picked up after they land.

Taken together, the patch clears a wide backlog of quality-of-life friction and progression blockers, making the current build meaningfully more stable for players already in Early Access.
