After a development period the studio describes as involving "months of updates, playtests, feedback, events, trailers, bug reports, balance changes," KAZ is now available in full on Steam. A 15% launch discount is active for a limited time.

What's in the full release

  • 110+ items and weapons to discover and combine
  • 20+ hand-drawn themes, some contributed by the community, each with their own power-ups
  • 145+ quests to complete
  • 35+ maluses that can reshape a run mid-session
  • Multiple modes: Survival, No Stress, and Dance-pad Mode
  • Leaderboard challenges on daily, weekly, monthly, and all-time tracks
  • Twitch integration allowing viewers to vote on the active run
  • A reactive soundtrack and visual system tied to gameplay
  • Localisations in eleven languages, including French, German, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean

The launch also brings a cluster of crossover content. Custom in-game themes were made in collaboration with content creators MisterMV and Olexa. Crossover themes based on Sol Cesto, Rhythm Doctor, and Linkito are also included. On the hardware side, a partnership with Keychron adds a custom Keychron theme inside the game alongside a tournament with a custom KAZ Keychron keyboard as the prize — details are in a separate tournament announcement.

KAZ is a short-run roguelike built around speed and item synergies; the volume of content in the full release suggests players chasing leaderboard positions will have considerable build variety to work through.
