Knytt Classic Patch 1.001 Fixes Cheats, Collision Soft-Lock, and Timer Display
The first post-launch patch addresses missing keyboard cheat inputs and a handful of accuracy and display issues flagged by players.
Knytt Classic's debut on Steam drew 45,000 activations, prompting developer James (Bit Kid) to ship a quick corrective patch.
What changed
- Classic 2-key keyboard cheats restored — the inputs were absent at launch; cheat displays now reflect keyboard options
- Cheat combo timing made slightly more lenient
- Purple void added to main mode — it does not count toward Map Exploration percentage
- Soft-lock fixed at a collision block near the tower in the intro area
- In-game timer repositioned so it no longer runs offscreen on 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios
The purple void and the keyboard cheats were specifically called out by players as accuracy issues — the patch note describes them as fidelity corrections rather than new features. The soft-lock and timer fixes address more straightforward bugs.
For players mid-run or chasing map completion, the void's exclusion from the exploration percentage means it won't disrupt existing progress tracking.
