Lucky Shot's Launch Patch Rebuilds Aiming, Endless Mode, and Co-op
Hours before release, developer BEARFACE pushed a set of substantive changes touching nearly every pillar of the game.
Lucky Shot arrives with a pre-release patch that, by the studio's own account, touches the aim system, endless mode, boss encounters, co-op, and the bullet system — a broad sweep for a launch-day update.
What changed
Aim & Sensitivity
- The aim system has been rebuilt around sensitivity profiles, with a new Sensitivity Style setting for mouse and controller input.
- The pause menu gains an Input tab with inverted X/Y axis toggles and advanced settings.
- The first-time setup now includes a redesigned aim calibration flow.
Endless Mode
- Targets are rounded to friendly numbers (e.g., 178,666 becomes 180,000) while preserving Small/Big/Boss proportions as runs scale.
- Unspecified new content has been added exclusively to this mode.
Boss & Challenge Rounds
- Every boss and challenge round now announces its modifier with an on-screen notification and a dedicated audio cue.
- The Level 6 boss has received a new boss variant.
Co-op
- Pausing is now synchronized between players, with a notification when a teammate pauses.
- Sessions handle host or client disconnects more gracefully mid-run.
- Score confirmation and total-score notifications now sync correctly.
- Target spawning at round start no longer accumulates into a sudden burst.
Magazine & Bullet System
- Described as a "major reliability" overhaul; the source text is cut off before specifics are listed.
The studio notes co-op remains complex and welcomes bug reports — a candid acknowledgment that some roughness may persist at launch.
