MOBU

Solo developer MatheusOP has pushed MOBU to version 1.0, crediting streamer feedback gathered in the days before launch for shaping a final round of fixes and additions.

What changed

New features

  • Three upgrades — Interest-ing Returns, Extra Life, and Insight — now add visible accessories to the player character when purchased, matching the existing behavior of Submerge.
  • The synergy highlighting system is expanded: hovering over any attribute now highlights every acquired upgrade that synergizes with it.
  • Seeker now surfaces its synergy with Attack Speed; Coincurse now surfaces its synergy with Luck.
  • The Clone Mirror ability's clone and the Order's Help helper monk both now function as light sources during blackout effects.

Gameplay and quality of life

  • Controller analog stick deadzone has been significantly reduced, improving movement responsiveness.
  • Right stick scrolling is improved across multiple menus.
  • The statistics screen now defaults to Run statistics rather than the current wave; a toggle remains available.
  • Tooltip line spacing has been increased for readability.
  • Wording and clarity improved for several descriptions, including Special Cooldown and Evasion Loop.
  • Visual feedback added when attempting to purchase a locked upgrade.

Taken together, the patch suggests a developer who watched closely and acted on what players actually struggled with — a reasonable foundation for a 1.0 release.
