Momento's 'Realities' Update Adds Room Variants, 70 Puzzles, and Creative Tools
The first major update to the memory-loop puzzle game reshapes its earliest and most-replayed rooms with alternate versions, while expanding Creative Mode and puzzle count significantly.
Momento's 1.1 update, titled Realities, is the game's first major update since launch — and its focus is variation. Because the earliest rooms are the ones players encounter most across repeated loops, the update introduces multiple versions of them to reduce repetition and reward closer attention.
What changed
Alternate Early Rooms
- The Cot Room (the first level) now has three distinct versions
- Childhood Bedrooms come in three variants: Dinosaur, Teddy, and Unicorn
- Teenage Bedrooms offer three versions: Mom's Place, Dad's Place, and Tyler & James's Place
- Room layouts aren't the only things that differ between variants
- Completed variants become accessible through the Wall of Memories
Creative Mode additions
- New swappable backgrounds: cityscape, back garden, mountain range, and space
- Windows and other items can now be placed on either wall
- Room size can be changed without restarting the room
- A test tube layering bug has been fixed
Puzzles
- 70 new puzzles have been added to the existing set
Alongside the update, Momento is currently 20% off and is included in the Wholesome Games Celebration.
For players who cycle through loops repeatedly, the room variants mean that familiar spaces now carry genuine uncertainty — layouts and details shift, and the Wall of Memories becomes the place to track what's been discovered.
