Ready or Not's Mission Editor Brings Deep AI and Gameplay Modifiers
A free update arriving in the coming weeks will let players reshape existing missions through a suite of modifiers — and share the results with others.
VOID Interactive has announced the Mission Editor, a forthcoming free update for Ready or Not that adds a modifier suite for AI characters and gameplay variables across existing missions.
What changed
The Mission Editor, described in a Development Briefing linked in the announcement, will allow players to:
- Swap the appearance of suspects from one level to another
- Arm all suspects with specific weapons, such as knives or M249s
- Adjust civilian behavior
- Alter player health values (the announcement cites 50 HP as one example)
- Save and share modified missions with squadmates and the broader community
No specific release date was given beyond "the coming weeks." The update is free.
VOID Interactive also announced a charity partnership with Stack Up, an organization that supports US and Allied veterans through gaming and geek culture. Stack Up is currently running a Tiltify campaign that includes a Weight of the Badge Collection; no further details about that collection appear in the source material.
For players who have exhausted the base mission set, the Mission Editor appears to be a meaningful expansion of replay value — the ability to share custom configurations with others suggests a community layer on top of the mechanical one.
