Mod Doom has outlined the contents of patch 1.0.0.5 for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, scheduled to go live on Friday. The notes were shared early specifically to give Nintendo Switch 2 players advance warning after recent updates knocked crossplay offline — the team wanted to avoid a disrupted weekend before console verification, which is expected to take several days.

The most serious ongoing issue — save corruption affecting both world and character saves — is still under investigation. As a stopgap, the Edit Appearance button is being removed entirely until a proper fix is ready. The team also notes that some restored saves have had their worlds reset to default, meaning Custom or Creative worlds may have reverted to Normal and could appear in Normal save lists.

What changed in 1.0.0.5

  • Players no longer fail to connect to multiplayer servers with more than two players present; Xbox clients specifically were unable to join if two users were already in the world
  • AI now respawns correctly on the second Scorned Wilderness Raid attempt
  • Joining a modded Dedicated Server from consoles will no longer corrupt a player save
  • Primordial Hearts, Imbued Granite Maul Heads, and Chinchompa Skulls can now be destroyed or stored
  • Dying in the Scorned Wilderness Raid no longer skips a respawn point
  • The Abyssal Whip Recipe now unlocks correctly for users with existing character saves
  • Sworn Servant can now be cast in Multiplayer and Dedicated Servers
  • HUD Scale options are correctly labelled on Steam
  • Xbox players with Privacy and Safety Settings will be notified of conflicts

For players who have been locked out of co-op sessions or stranded by missing items, the multiplayer and inventory fixes should restore normal play before the weekend.
